Over 70 crimes a month are being committed against farms in Devon and Cornwall, figures obtained by the BBC show.

Figures released under the Freedom of Information Act reveal that 896 incidents were reported to the police last year, down from 1,354 incidents in 2003.

Reported incidents include vandalism to buildings, fly tipping and theft of livestock and farm machinery, the BBC said in their article.

The stats show a year-on-year drop in reported crimes, the BBC reported.
