The saying 'An apple a day keeps the doctor away' is a phrase that has long been used to encourage the regular eating of fruit, but recent research now 'shows' consumers the goodness they are eating.

Using a high voltage electrical charge, these photographs show how vitality levels of various apples are affected by how fresh the produce is.

Whenever we eat apples, we are not only taking in vitamins
and minerals, we are also consuming a sun-charged and dynamic substance that vitalises our minds and bodies, helping to keep us fit and healthy.

For centuries, the humble apple has been revered for its special health and spiritual properties. Now, with the stunning visual results released from recent investigations by one of the UK's leading apple producers it may be possible to actually see why.

Although we are encouraged to eat five portions of fruit and vegetables a day, this study clearly demonstrates that there is no substitute for fresh produce. And the less 'food miles' produce has, the healthier it is likely to be for the consumer.

Whilst supermarket fruit and vegetables sourced from the UK are more likely to be better for you in terms of their vitality than imported produce, the freshest and healthiest produce will more often than not come from local suppliers.

Vitality research conducted by the growers of new English apple Kanzi demonstrates the critical importance of eating items with strong levels of life energy.

Experts at Full Spectrum, one of the UK's leading authorities on Kirlian research, compared the exceptional vitality levels of Kanzi with a range of other produce. Their results showed little vitality, if any, in processed and de-vitalised foods, regardless of the vitamin and mineral content.

Perhaps even more surprisingly, apples that look similar on the shelves, and have similar nutritional values can show significant differences in vitality levels.

The Kirlian electro-graph can show the strength and integrity of the fruits vitality visually as a bright and colourful corona. As the energy and corresponding nutrients decay the corona around the fruit will diminish, the integrity of the field will be lost and the colour will darken.

The Kirlian study shows the striking contrast between the English grown variety and an import.

Nigel Garion-Hutchings, of Full Spectrum, gave further insight into the findings.

He said: "Not all apples are the same, with some being more highly charged than others. Looking at the image of the Kanzi we can see the dynamic quality of the Kirlian energy field suggesting the vitality and freshness held within; this vitality is reflected in the quality and taste of the Kanzi.

"Furthermore, apples with this kind of energy will naturally deliver sun charged vitality with every bite raising the spirits and nourishing the body.

"Even though the foreign apple looked reasonably ok on the outside, the low energy levels suggest it was well past its best. In our experience apples with high air miles are particularly susceptible to energy loss."

Kanzi apples, which have only recently become available in the UK, are managed more as a grape than an apple, with specific emphasis on taste, season, growing conditions and premium quality.
