Popular Devon acoustic roots duo Show of Hands have received two nominations for next year's BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
The band, comprising of singer/songwriter Steve Knightley and multi-instrumentalist Phil Beer, are up for best duo as well as best original song for Roots.
The 2007 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards will take place at London’s The Brewery on February 5.
The duo grew up on opposite sides of the River Exe and still both live in the county, Beer on Dartmoor and Knightley in Exeter.
In 2004, Show of Hands were voted "Best Live Act" at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards as well as being shortlisted for best original song for Country Life.

Their latest single, Roots, will be released as a download single next February.
The track has enjoyed widespread airplay across national and local radio as part of their acclaimed new album Witness.
