As British Summer time officially begins, celebrate the coming of better weather by taking the family to Wincanton Racecourse on Sunday 30 March.
Complete with face painters, bouncy castles and a circus workshop, as well as top class racing action, the course provides the ideal way to keep the children entertained on a Sunday afternoon.
The circus workshop is open throughout the afternoon allowing children to learn everything from riding a unicycle to spinning plates and juggling balls. With a number of face painters, a trampoline and a bouncy castle also dotted around the course there is certainly enough to keep even the most active child busy!
There are six action packed races on the card, but the excitement will rise when Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Denman will be parading at around 3pm in the main parade ring, allowing spectators to get a great view of this brilliant Gold Cup winner, who is now unbeaten in nine starts over fences.
The afternoon's racing will kick off at 2.20pm after the gates open at 12.30pm. There is no need to worry about lunch as Wincanton Racecourse has nine bars and restaurants on offer providing a wide selection of meals and snacks, suitable for all ages and tastes.
Steven Clarke, managing director of Wincanton Racecourse, said: "We are really looking forward to this fixture - a combination of clowns and a Cheltenham Gold Cup winner make for a very unique day out! We are expecting a large crowd to attend to make the most of a family day out, and also to share in the success of Denman."
Children under the age of 16 gain free entry to the Course whilst adult entry on the day costs just £7, providing a great value day out. For those wanting an even better deal, advance bookings can be made at a discounted price on 08700 115007.
There is plenty of parking free of charge within the grounds. For further information on Wincanton Racecourse and a full fixture list visit www.wincantonracecourse.co.uk or call 01963 32344.
