Top celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has announced that he is to open his first restaurant in Ireland, planned for autumn 2007.
The restaurant will be located in The Ritz-Carlton Powerscourt in Dublin.
Ramsay said: "It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to open my first restaurant in Ireland, in partnership with The Ritz-Carlton and in such beautiful surroundings as the Powerscourt Estate.
"Ireland is internationally renowned for the quality of its food and the warmth of its hospitality and I am committed to providing an amazing dining experience in this magnificent setting."
Ramsay, 40, owns a number of top London restaurants, including Maze, Petrus, Banquette and The Savoy Grill.
He is currently one of only three chefs in the UK whose restaurant, Gordon Ramsay at Royal Hospital Road, is rated at three Michelin stars.
In total, Ramsay has been awarded a staggering 10 Michelin stars.
