12th July 2007

Oregon's luxurious Tu Tu' Tun Lodge has been named America's best hotel in a new survey.

Tu Tu' Tun Lodge topped a poll of readers of America's prestigious Travel and Leisure magazine.

The lodge is located in the rural southwest corner of Oregon, 40 miles from the California border.

Situated on a wooded stretch of the amazing Rogue River, Tu Tu' Tun Lodge is just seven miles from the Pacific Ocean.

South Carolina's Woodlands Resort and Inn finished second in the survey, followed by Post Hotel and Spa in Alberta and Massachusetts’ Blantyre.

Fifth spot went to South Carolina's Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort, while The Peninsula in Beverly Hills took sixth place.

Planters Inn, another South Carolina hotel, was seventh, with Pebble Beach's Inn at Spanish Bay eighth.

Wyoming's Four Seasons Resort and California's Madrona Manor rounded out the top 10.

Travel and Leisure readers were asked to evaluate each hotel by its rooms, facilities, location, service, restaurants and value for money.
